NJU-China is the Nanjing University iGEM team. iGEM, short for International Genetically Engineered Machine, is a global synthetic-biology competition and community centered on student teams designing, modeling, documenting, and communicating engineered biological systems. Its project culture is notably interdisciplinary: a competitive entry is not only a wet-lab biological design, but also a combination of modeling, safety thinking, human practices, documentation, software, visualization, and public-facing explanation.
I list NJU-China here because it represents a different kind of technical environment from my usual AI and mathematics work. The team context requires collaboration across biology, engineering, computation, design, writing, and presentation.
